  1. Is FlipperVolt really free?
Yes! Version 1 of the software is yours for free! It is a full-featured version that includes advertisements. If you'd like a version without advertisements and want to be notified by email when new features are added, please contribute what you can. Check out the Version Log to see what we've been working on!
  2. Do I need to be connected to the Internet in order to use FlipperVolt?
No. Once you download the files from the FlipperVolt site, you "run" it locally – on your own computer. You can use FlipperVolt to view images on your own computer, over a network, or over the Internet. So, once you have FlipperVolt on your computer, you don't have to be connected to the Internet, unless you want to view images that are only available over the Internet.
  3. Does FlipperVolt work on password-protected sites?
In most cases, yes. Before you use FlipperVolt with a password-protected site, you should be sure to access a page on that site first and enter your username and password. In most cases, this will identify your computer and browser to that site as being "signed-in". Then, when FlipperVolt fetches images from the site, it will be authorized to do so.
  4. I opened the index.htm file in my browser. Why don't I see the FlipperVolt Console?
In some cases, the Console does not pop-up automatically. There is a button on the index.htm page that says "Launch FlipperVolt Console". Click that button. If the console still does not appear, then check if it has opened, but is hiding under another window. If that is not the case, then check if you have some kind of pop-up blocking software on your browser. FlipperVolt will not work if you have pop-up blocking software running on your browser.
  5. It just ain't working! What am I doing wrong?
It's quite possible you're not doing anything wrong. We are constantly striving to make FlipperVolt 100% compatible will every combination of platform and browser. However, there are likely to be several combinations of platform, operating system, browser and browser version that won't support all of the functions we've programmed. For more information, try reviewing the
Instructions, and check the Platform/Browser Compatibility Chart and the Version Log. You are also welcome to send us email at Support@FlipperVolt.com.
  6. I'm using the slideshow and it keeps skipping pictures. What's up?
If you are viewing pictures over the Internet, your download speed can vary based on your service provider, your local connection and the speed of your computer's processor. If you have the slideshow delay set to "4" and it takes more than four seconds to load an image, the slideshow may skip to the next image. If a lot of the images take four or more seconds to load, then the slideshow may continue to skip images. In that case, adjust the delay time until the skipping stops. (You can change the delay setting while the slideshow is running.)
